DIVISIONAL Commissioner Kalpana Shrivastava chaired a meeting of health officials and also issued directives to the collectors of all the districts in Bhopal division in about prevention against the COVID-19 coronavirus. Divisional Commissioner stated that, during the commercial activities, the shopkeepers must maintain a minimum distance of one metre with the customers to avoid the spread of disease. Shrivastava also asked the collectors to deploy a team of health officials at the check posts on all the highways and all the passengers must be screened before they enter the boundaries of the district.
 
Names, contact details and the address of the passengers must be noted down and suspected should not be allowed to enter the district through roads, the letter stated. The collectors were also directed to ensure that all commercial malls remain open from only 12am to 4pm. She also said that, the collectors must ensure that social distance is also maintained in the public transport. Only one passenger must be allowed to one seat, she said. A separate roaster of the 50% of the third and fourth class employees working in essential services like health, police, drinking water, electricity, sanitation staff, telecom etc must be created to maintain their attendance.
 
The Divisional Commissioner also instructed that necessary arrangements should be made to control contact and mobilisation in all Government offices. Ensure adherence to the guidelines issued by the World Health Organisation and the National Disease Control Centre for decontamination of the workplace to control and prevent infection of COVID-19.
