Bhopal to fight corona together and not by ‘being together’

Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to public to stay at home on March 22 and to observe Janata Curfew, Bhopalites have advanced their plans and decided to remain at home. Hundreds of people thronged the markets on Saturday evening to get necessary items like medicines and other commodities. Collector Tarun Pithode has also appealed to citizens to co-operate with the administration and remain inside their homes. He appealed to fight the coronavirus scare, the contribution of public is mandatory, so all the people should remain inside their houses from 7 am to 9 pm on March 22. Bhopal all set for a day-long shutdown: All kinds of public transports including city buses, auto-rickshaws and APP-based aggregators will remain non-operational on Sunday.
 
The collector has appealed the citizens to all the traders’ unions in the city to give their contribution and remain closed. Many have given holidays to maids, drivers, security guards, newspaper vendors, milkman, and laundry-man to remain home on Sunday. Security arrangements will be made at all establishments, government offices, boat clubs, and parks. The BMC workers are also continuously to sanitise various public places in the city.
 
Need to break virus transmission chain: Collector Tarun Pithode said that the COVID-19 virus can only survive for 8-10 hours without human contact, and dies on its own if it does not get any contact. So to break the transmission chain of the corona virus, it is important for the people to remain at home. He also said that corona is an infectious disease and can be transmitted from one to another through contact. The Collector also advised the citizens to avoid unnecessary travels and gatherings and to take extra care of children and the elderly people. The person suffering from cough and cold should consult a doctor. 
 
Sanchi milk parlours to remain open today All Sanchi milk parlours in the State capital will remain open on Sunday irrespective of the ‘Janata Curfew’ as announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. CEO of Sanchi Milk Federation K K Saxena said that all the milk parlours will remain open keeping in mind the need of infants.
