WITH district police and administrative machinery all set to keep a vigil on proper implementation of Section 144 in the region, the residents of Durg, Bhilai are all set to observe Janta curfew. City residents on Saturday also came out of their houses to get necessary items like medicines and other essential commodities to stay indoors and ensure their contribution in nationwide curfew.
 
A district-level task force, headed by the District Collector Ankit Anand, has already been formed to monitor the action plan being implemented to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Earlier, the officials from Bhilai Municipal Corporation, Durg Municipal Corporation, Public Health Department of BSP and other administrative officers were seen detailing about ‘Janata Curfew’.
 
Meanwhile, many have given holidays to maids, drivers, security guards, newspaper vendors, milkman, and laundry-man to remain at home on Sunday. On the oher hand, the several private buses, auto-rickshaws, retailers, traders associations and markets have announced that they will keep their shops shut during the Janta curfew to remain safe from the coronavirus outbreak.
