 Peoplein large numbers clapped, clanged utensils, blew counch shells as a mark of respect to the real heroes in this war against coronavirus at 5 pm on Sunday.

LAKHS of Bhopalites came out in their balconies, windows and on the terrace of their houses clapping, banging utensils to salute the selfless heroes who are battling on the forefront against COVID-19. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation on Thursday, had appealed to the people to observe Janata Curfew from 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday to practice social distancing to prevent further spread of coronavirus.

The Prime Minister in his address had urged people to take out 5 minutes to express gratitude towards doctors, nurses, paramedics, municipal staff, defence forces, police, sanitation workers, journalists and others who are risking their lives to keep the nation healthy. The citizens were requested to clap, bang utensils like plates and pans from their houses or blow a conch shell. People also blew conch shells, rang bells and chanted Gayatri Mantra to defeat coronavirus.
