Elaborate security arrangement was made during observance of ‘Janata Curfew’ in twin city of Bhilai and Durg and in rural parts of the district. The police maintained round the clock vigil to avert any eventuality on the day. During Janata Curfew police officials maintained vigil to ensure effective observance of ‘Janata Curfew’. Rohit Kumar Jha, ASP (City) informed that ‘Janata Curfew’, observed for effectively underscoring danger of corona virus, was peaceful as no untoward incident was reported during the day. He lauded the cooperation extended by people who voluntarily closed their business establishments and along with others who remained indoor to support to check the pandemic.
 
He specifically lauded twin city residents for giving information regarding the residents in their colonies who returned from foreign countries and consequently police forwarded detailed report of 119 persons so far to office Chief Medical Officer, Durg in the same context. He informed that over 1000 police officials and personnel were deployed to ensure peaceful observance of Janata Curfew in the twin city and across the district. About 60 patrolling parties including those of various police station and reserved police force conducted patrolling in different zones and also discourage few people from venturing out thereby contributing to check possible spread of corona virus infection.
 
About seven gezetted rank police officials (GOs) maintained close supervision over the development in their respective zones. All Station House Officers (SHOs) from various police stations across the district were keeping check on developments within the jurisdiction to meet out any eventuality during the day. The police officials and personnel also observed all necessary precautionary measures.
