People across districts obey Govt appeal, stay indoors

‘Janata’ curfew evoked massive response in Sagar with co-operation from the administration and people. At public places, police were present. District Collector Priti Maithail Nayak and SP Amit Sanghi visited the city during Janata Curfew. The appeal of Government of India for ‘Janata Curfew’ was followed by all residents and eerie silence prevailed in all public places including Bus Stand, railway station and roads. Collector Priti Maithail Nayak informed that Sagar district has no positive case of coronavirus so far. On recovering information about any suspects, administration is taking full precautions. She expressed gratitude towards residents of Sagar for making Janata c urfew a success.
 
All precautionary measures are being followed in wake of coronavirus infection. The district borders have been sealed. Sanitisation of all public places has been done. SP Amit Sanghi has informed that district police has made attempt to ensure that law and order remains intact in city and rumours are not spread. The vehicles coming from other cities and towns are being monitored. Police has been deployed at all the public places. People are being advised to wear mask as precautionary measure. NARSINGHPUR: ‘Janata’ curfew gained massive support in district Narsinghpur.
 
As per instructions of district administration, a complete lockdown has been imposed in district Narisnghpur from March 21 for next 14 days. People and social organisations have welcomed the lockdown step initiated by district administration and assured for their full support to fight against coronavirus infection. The administration said that in need of medical facility people may dail 23061, 100 and 108. Collector, Deepak Saxena and SP Dr Gurkaran Singh have meeting with social and religious organisations and appealed to them not to organise public programmes. He assured that at religious places, crowd will not be allowed to gather and devotees coming to worship in temple should keep distance of one metre in a queue.
 
While meeting with Dugdha Sangh, decision was made that during the total lockdown, milk distribution would be carried out from 7 to 9 am and only women are allowed to come out to purchase milk. There is no permission to men to come out of the house. Information would be provided for vegetable and ration. All petrol pumps of district will remain open from 7 am to 9. The Collector had a meeting with bankers. Decision was taken that all banks will remain closed. Sufficient fund should be in ATM. Bank officers and employees should remain at their headquarters. In case of any need Bank time would declared and banks would be open. 
 
3 held with arms, liquor during curfew

Morwa (Singrauli), Mar 23 During Janata curfew, Morwa police arrested three in possession of illegal weapons and liquor two separate cases and recovered large quantity of liquor and some weapons from the accused. During Janata curfew, Morwa police team was visiting town and received tip-off from an informer about two persons standing a triangle with liquor. On the instruction of SP T K Vidyarthi, ASP Pradeep Shindey, SDOP Neeraj Namdev, SHO, Morwa Nagendra Paratp Singh sent his team to verify the information. Police team caught two person with cache of liquor. Police arrested Sonu Sahu, son of Munnilal Sahu, age 22 years, resident of Jidudad and Brajesh shahish, son of Rajesh Sahish, age 20 years, resident of Ambedkarnagar, Morwa. Police found from then 55 litre country made liquor kept in two containers worth Rs 8250. The accused informed that they were standing to supply this liquor haul to labour colony, BGR camp. Police has booked them under Section 34 (2). In another incident, police arrested Ramakant Saket son of Rajendra Saket, who was threatening passer-by by showing sharp edge weapons near Kanya Vidalaya. Police arrested the accused and recovered the weapons from him. He was booked under 25 (b) Arms Act and presented before Court from where he was sent to jail. bb

During the Janata curfew, District Collector Shashibhushan Singh also inspected the arrangements made for prevention from corona virus at district hospitals. He inspected isolation ward and quarantine wards made to keep the suspected patients safer. He also conducted emergency meeting of health department, municipal corporation, district administration, police and health department officers and reviewed the arrangements being made for prevention from corona virus. He also sought information about arrangements made for screening of corona virus affected person, people coming back after foreign visit, equipment available for conducting the tests, etc. The period lock down has been extended in almost all the districts of Jabalpur division. Barring essential services, the government employees have been instructed to complete their works by remaining at home. The services of retired doctors is also being taken to stop infection of Corona virus . Two isolation wards have been made in Katni hospital to keep the suspected patients, CMO SK Nigam said that if required 6 reserve bad would also be available. For quarantine of corona virus positive patients, besides the Juhala health centre, upper floor of the 10 Bed MGM hospital and in Muraval’s hostel 16 bed have been kept reserved. In addition to it 2 -2 bads for isolation have also been kept reserved in every hospital. Screening of 57 foreign return people has been conducted out of them five were foreigners who have left for their destination. No one was found positive. They are going through process of isolation quarantine. Instructions to sanitize different points in the town by pressing the fogging machine, sprayers in to services. Twenty two residents of Panna arrived in town have also been sent back to their homes safely.
