Universities to keep students updated with exam information

Complying with a circular issued by the UGC, all the universities, including PRSU Raipur, have asked the colleges to to make officials concerned, teachers, employees and students aware of the circular issued by the UGC, so that students and parents are not misled regarding the change their examination dates. The universities asked the principals/superintendents of all their affiliated colleges/examination centres, HoDs/Centre Superintendents of School of Studies (SoS), and Superintendent, Central Jails It is to be mentioned, the UGC had issued a circular on March 19 asking all the universities to postpone examinations owing to outbreak of coronavirus.
 
The decision has been taken in the wake of holidays declared for coronavirus threat and subsequently suspension of examinations, said PRSU Registrar Dr Girish Kant Pandey on Monday. He said that the centre superintendents and principals of all the colleges affiliated to PRSU have been directed to take necessary measures to guide the examinees on their examination dates, so that they do not miss annual examinations. The principals and centre superintendents have been asked to share their mobile numbers and put necessary information on display on their notice boards, so that students and parents can contact them, said the Registrar.
 
He also added that all the universities in Chhattisgarh such as Surguja University, Bastar University and Durg University would have to follow the order of the UGC
