The COVID-19 positive patients in Madhya Pradesh rose to 34 after four new patients were tested positive in Indore on Friday night and a BSF Lt Colonel was tested positive with deadly coronavirus in Gwalior on Saturday. The patient in Gwalior lives with his family at BSF Training Academy in Tekanpur. His wife and his son had recently returned from Germany, their samples have been taken and reports are awaited. All three of them are quarantined at the academy itself. So far, only two people were tested positive with coronavirus in Gwalior. Also, the second test reports of ‘patient zero’ in Gwalior suggested he was COVID-19 negative. But the doctors say another sample will be taken again after 4 days and this will be his final test. 
 
Indore becomes high risk zone with 19 cases
 
Four new patients were tested positive in Indore on late on Friday night, increasing the number of patients in the district to 19. Every area with positive COVID-19 case is being declared as ‘containment zone’ and is also being sealed. 
 
No new COVID-19 case in Bhopal
 
Three people were tested positive with COVID-19 in Bhopal and no new case has been found till now, said CMHO Dr Sudhir Dehariya. A railway official was admitted to AIIMS, Bhopal, after he tested positive on Friday. The father-daughter duo also admitted to isolation ward of AIIMS.
 
Two isolated in Shivpuri
 
Both COVID-19 patients are admitted to isolation ward of the district hospital in Shivpuri. A youth, resident of Khandiyana tehsil, was admitted to the district hospital on March 24. The other patient has recently returned from Dubai. Eight positive in Jabalpur: The number of patients in Jabalpur increased to 8 after two more suspects who used to work at the shop of a patient. The district administration is also leaving no stone unturned in tracing 450 people, who came in contact with the same businessman.
 
Collectors told to ensure enough blood at banks
 
Health Commissioner Prateek Hazela instructed all the district collectors in the State to ensure adequate arrangement of blood at the blood bank. For that the collectors were directed to setup blood donation camp at government blood banks. Hazela said the blood banks are facing shortage of blood due to the coronavirus outbreak and for that the citizens must be made aware about this. He urged the collectors to appeal to the citizens to make voluntary blood donations. It is notable that shortage of blood at the banks was being sensed as the PM Narendra Modi announced the 21-day nationwide lockdown.
