Grocery mart reaches to containment areas in city

On Tuesday, the seventh day of lockdown, denizens preferred not going out to vegetables and other essential ration items instead they are option for the door to door service. Considering the seriousness of the situation they were seen sticking to their homes as the ‘Apki Sabji Apke Dwar’ initiative made their lives easier. Raj Kumar, a ‘panipuri’ vendor, says that now in the handcart they are selling vegetable which is also helping them to get revenue.
 
They are wearing mask and gloves while selling the vegetables. Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) in collaboration with district administration will take action against vegetable vendors if they are selling vegetables at double rate. Around 223 official vehicles of BMC is engaged in reaching ration to the people and this services has been started at 250 routes.
 
The ‘Aapki Sabzi-Aapke Dwar’ scheme has been launched by co-ordinating the merchants and the loading rickshaw operators of the city in the Haat markets. Due to being found corona positive patients, the area of Semra, which has been declared as a Containment area, was closed and a grocery cart along with vegetables also arrived and the needy bought the grocery. A grocery cart was also arrived on Professors Colony on Tuesday. Following the social distancing, the administration has closed the haats at other places in the city including Bittan Market, New Market, Kolar and Kotra Sultanabad.
