Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday interacted with chief ministers of states including Chhattisgarh via video conferencing to discuss measures to combat COVID-19. Prime Minister thanked states for supporting the decision of lockdown due to which India has achieved some success in limiting the spread of COVID-19. He praised how all states have worked together as a team to check the spread of the virus. He however forewarned that the global situation remains far from satisfactory and informed about speculations of a possible second wave of spread of the virus in some countries.
 
The Prime Minister said that it is important to formulate a common exit strategy to ensure staggered re-emergence of the population once lockdown ends. He asked the states to brainstorm and send suggestions for the exit strategy. He reiterated the importance of social distancing in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also attended the conference. He gave detailed information about the prevention and control of Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic at present in Chhattisgarh and informed about the preventive measures and necessary assistance being provided to the general public and needy people during lock down.
 
 
Bilaspur patient found negative, discharged; no new case on Thursday No new coronavirus positive patient was detected in State on Thursday. While a patient found coronavirus positive in Bilaspur and undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital, Bilaspur found negative and discharged. It has brought a big relief to the people of State who were worried by the increasing number of patients which reached nine. Now three patients have been treated, cured and discharged from hospital. This has come as a great relief to the panic stricken people in State as they were under an impression that the virus could be fatal and that there are is no treatment available for the pandemic. Doctors opine that if detected early and if patients do not conceal about the infection and brought to hospital on time can be cured. The patient was undergoing treatment at Apollo Bilaspur was tested negative twice after which the patient has been discharged from hospital. Two other patients who were cured were from Khursipar, Bhilai and Ramnagar, Raipur. All the three patients are now living a normal life without any difficulties in breathing and no other health problems. However the cured patients will have to remain in isolation for some more time as a precaution, stated the doctors. As per bulletin issued by State Government now only six coronavirus infected patients are undergoing treatment. Out of six, one is in Rajnandgaon Medical College while other five are in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Dr Karan Peepre, Medical Superintendent of AIIMS informed that condition of all the patients is stable and all are responding well to the treatment. As per bulletin samples of 1,232 patients were taken all over State out of which 921 were found negative, nine were found positive, out of which three have been cured, six are undergoing treatment and report of 302 are awaited.
