After a hiatus of nearly a fortnight, Mayor Sandip Joshi is back in action taking review of arrangements made by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) during the lockdown in city. Mayor held a meeting with office bearers of various committees and took stock of actual conditions on the ground as they felt that civic officials are not upto mark in delivery of services. The meeting was attended by Deputy Mayor Manisha Kothe, Vijay Zalke, Chairperson, Standing Committee, Sandeep Jadhav, Ruling Party Leader, Virendra Kukreja, Chairperson, Health Committee.
 
Although civic body has made arrangement for home delivery of essential commodities, citizens are still paying visit to corporators. Mayor impressed upon need to tell the people the need to keep staying at their homes and avoid moving out on one pretext or another. Similarly, he also said, all the corporators should extend co-operation to civic machinery as they are busy arranging things to ensure that citizens do not face any inconvenience during the lockdown period. In case people have any problem, then they can contact the Mayor or other office bearers and get required help.
 
Sanitization also to be reviewed Moving into routine, Mayor Sandip Joshi on Saturday called for a meeting to take review of sanitization efforts of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). The meeting would be held in Central Office of NMC at Civil Lines at 1 pm. Deputy Mayor Manisha Kothe, Vijay Zalke, Chairperson, Standing Committee, Sandeep Jadhav, Ruling Party Leader, Pravin Datke and Dayashankar Tiwari, both senior corporators, and Virendra Kukreja, Chairperson, Health Committee, would attend the meet. Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is trying to find gaps in the civic administration efforts to combat mosquito menace in backdrop of coronavirus.
