Brokers are facing problems in transporting material due to restrictions imposed at Kalamna market 
 
With resumption of movement of parcel vans, the Nagpur Parcel Depot has so far earned revenue of Rs. 1.65 lakh with loading of three parcel vans. With message going around that special parcel trains have resumed, traders and brokers got activated and making a beeline with goods for dispatch to Eastern parts of country.
 
On Friday, third consignment was loaded at Nagpur Depot containing 287 packages. This included packets of pomogranates and oranges weighing 4.2 tonnes. Also for the first time, 258 kgs of Railway Mail Service (RMS) was dispatched through Kalyan-Sankarail VP rake today. The fruits are meant for Bilaspur, Rourkela and Tata Nagar, from where the orders were booked. The first rake of VPs that passed through city was loaded with 41 tonnes of consignment consisting of vegetable and fruits. Today's consignment led to earnings of Rs 11,533 and now focus is on ramping up delivery for the next VP slated for April 5, Sunday. From Nagpur most of the consignments are booked for stations in Eastern part of the country.
 
The parcel department is expecting to have nearly 50 tonnes of material, including vegetables-garlic, ginger, fruits, and other petty material. Today's rake comprised of seven vans of parcel (VPs) and at Nagpur there was problem of plenty as even a VP rake from Western Railway too has to pass through the city.
 
However the brokers are facing problems in transporting the material due to restrictions imposed at Kalamna market. Also to compound the problem civic administration has closed down Cotton Market due to which the consignments are not upto expectations, said the brokers who are all geared-up to normalise the supply of goods ex-Nagpur. From Mumbai end, the VPs are ferrying medicines, masks and sanitizers. A communication from headquarters stated that e-commerce company are moving goods through the VPs.
