‘More awareness, people’s support in containment areas improve situation’

Total 29 COVID-19 patients were discharged from isolation wards and 30-40 more patients are likely to be discharged soon 
 
“SITUATION has improved with increasing public awareness and cooperation from residents in containment areas. Total 29 COVID-19 patients were discharged after being cured from isolation wards and 30-40 more patients are likely to be discharged in next 3-4 days. Residents should adopt disciplined lifestyle by using face mask and maintaining social distancing to avoid spread of COVID-19 infection,” said Collector Bharat Yadav.
 
He informed that total number of 3,570 samples were sent till date and 119 reports were found positive. Total 29 patients were discharged after being cured from isolation ward. Total 12,510 people are in home quarantine and 465 are into institutional quarantine.
 
Total number of 1,945 high risk patients have been identified during survey in Chandni Chowk, Sarvodaya Nagar and Gohalpur areas and their health is being continuously monitored by separate medical teams. Besides this, availability of essential services is being ensured in 12 containment areas for convenience of residents. He added that all essential services are being continued to avoid any kind of inconvenience to the residents while Government departments, private institutions have been started with preventive norms. MGNREGA works have been started in rural areas for starting financial activities for labourers and crop procurement work will be continued till May 26.
