SHRAMIK Expresses, going to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar passing through the State, are halting at Jabalpur, Katni and Satna stations. The migrants who have boarded these trains from various locations are facing problems in procuring food and water. These poor stranded people get much-needed relief when the trains pass through Jabalpur division.

The hospitality offered to migrants at Jabalpur station has been appreciated. It is being informed that the Shramik Express from Mumbai, Surat, Hyderabad and other stations going to Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are filled with capacity with migrant labourers. These labourers who board the respective trains at the originating stations fail to take food and water with them due to lack of time and resources. In the course of long journey, they are faced with thirst and starvation.

However soon after these Shramik Express trains reach Jabalpur, the railway administration, under the direction of DRM Sanjay Biswas and Senior DCM Basant Kumar Sharma, has made adequate arrangement of food packets and water bottles. These are distributed to the labourers at Jabalpur, Katni and Satna stations of Jabalpur division. The distribution of food packets and water bottles is done with the assistance of GRP and RPF. Reportedly migrants are served refreshment packets that include biscuits, cakes and other eatables. The hospitality, offered to migrants who remain short of food and water in course of their journey to their destination, offers great succor.
