THE Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) is still showing no sympathy towards the starving stray cattle. The cattle are wandering on city streets in search of food during peak summer. the stray cattle are normally dependent on the leftover from hotels, restaurants and roadside eateries. As all such establishments are closed due to lockdown, food crisis have arisen before the stray cattle. They are roaming on city streets day and night in search of food.

JMC had recently made arrangements providing green fodder to the cattle at Tilak Bhumi Talliya. It was also proposed to extend the arrangements to 10 other places in the city. But, arranging fodder for few days is showing utter negligence to the starving stray cattle. The civic body’s negligence is proving dear to stray cattle.Number of cows, and oxes are seen roaming on roads in search of food and water. As summer is heading to its peak and temperature is soaring over 40 degree Celsius, the conditions are proving costly to the stray cattle. It has become necessary that green fodder and water must be arranged for stray cattle so that they could survive till conditions continue.
