VIA to organise webinar tomorrow

Vidarbha Industries Association & Clean Air Asia (CAA) are jointly organising a webinar on ‘Industrial preparedness to maintain air quality amidst and post COVID-19’ on May 15, 2020 from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm on Zoom. The eminent speakers will be Hema Deshpande, SRO of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, Dr Mukesh Sharma, Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Kanpur, Ashish Kulkarni, Associate Partner with Ernest & Young and also working for Government and public services. The concept for holding this session is since the lockdown started, all industrial activities were also shut down to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic in India and around the world. While the world is busy in dealing pandemic, we all can see the blue sky all over again.
The level of AQI has dropped down to levels of good or even satisfactory in many cities of India. This was certain to imply that human activities are leading cause of pollution of our ambient air and industries are one of the major sources of pollution in India. With this understanding, VIA in collaboration with Clean Air Asia take this opportunity to organise a webinar to discuss the level of preparedness required by industries to keep our sky blue and maintain good air quality.
