DURING the lockdown period, one of the easiest ways to keep the body fit is rope jumping, informs Snehlata Bhagat, Secretary, Nagpur District Jump Rope Association, through a press release. In the absence of any ground activity, rope jumping offers an easy solution and can be practised by all age group persons who have no major health issues, the release adds.

There are over 5000 registered rope jumpers in the state and are practising the sport at home. The release claims that continuos rope skipping for 15 minutes is equivalent to running for 20 minutes. NDJRA President Mohammad Shoeb also urged the citizens to stay indoors and try rope jumping.
