Taking advantage of lockdown period, the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has re-started development works in the city. The civic body, on Thursday, started construction of remaining portion of cement road from Kachhpura bridge to the railway crossing. The road was lying incomplete since long time and causing great inconvenience to thousands of people who used the main road regularly. As people are not coming out of homes and main roads are bearing very less traffic pressure, the JMC has started construction of incomplete roads.

Accordingly, it has started construction of road from Kachhpura bridge to Gulaua Railway crossing. It is believed that the contractor may complete the construction work in less time due to meager traffic movement on the road. It may be noted that the civic body has already constructed cement road from Chetram ki Madia to Kachhpura bridge.

But, the portion from the bridge to railway crossing was lying incomplete since months. Hence, the district administration, following the directions of the State Government, has recently allowed the JMC to restart some development works. Accordingly, the civic body is constructing cement road from Kachhpura bridge to Gulaua railway crossing.
