Mahesh Chandra Choudhary Divisional Commissioner Jabalpur visited Bhedaghat by-pass, the junction spot for large number of migrants coming from Maharashtra and other states who get down at by-pass for their onward journey. During his inspection carried out he praised the efforts being carried out by social organisation in providing hospitality to poor migrants. According to information, Divisional Commissioner Choudhary carried out inspection at Bhedaghat by-pass to take stock of facilities being offered by social organisation to large number of migrants who get down at the by-pass for their onward journey.
While interacting with migrants present on the occasion apprised them about transportation facilities made by administration to enable them to reach at ISBT for their onward journey. Later in his visit, Divisional Commissioner visited at Jabalpur-Patan by-pass to take stock of amenities being provided to migrants. He also inspected the arrangements made in community kitchen started by Sikh Community and Transport union for the benefit of large number of migrants who get down for change of bus from by-pass.
He was apprised by the members and office-bearers of Sikh community and Transport Union that apart from providing meals to poor migrants they are also providing slipper and other essential goods to migrants. As children of migrants are given biscuits milk and other eatables along with water bottle so as to make their onward journey comfortable. Also that the supply of meals to migrants has been operational for past 15 days and on an average 6 to 8 thousand migrants have been given food. Divisional Commissioner Choudhary appreciated the act of charity by Sikh community and transport union.
