Daddaji consigned to flames with full State honours

THE last rites of Sant Pt. Devprabhakar Shastri ‘Daddaji’ were performed with full State honours at Shri Krishna Vriddhashram campus at Dadda Dham Katni, on Monday. His eldest son, Pt Dr Anil Kumar Shastri lit the pyre amidst Vedic hymns and rituals performed by senior Acharya Pt Puran Prasad Shastri of Dadda Darbar, Pt Kalika Prasad Pandey with Acharya and scholars from Brindaban, Varanasi, Bandakpur and other places. A large number of disciples from across the country, along with family members, relatives apart from District Collector, Superintendent of Police, senior administrative staff and police personnel gave salute as mortal remains of Daddaji were consigned to flames with full State honour.
 
His pyre was made of five quintal sandalwood.Political leaders, industrialists and film personalities, who are disciples of Daddaji, bid tearful adieu and paid last respects to the departed soul.Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former Chief Minister, Kamal Nath, along with a host of political leaders and people from every section of the society, expressed deep condolence on the demise of Daddaji.
 
Daddaji’s son, Dr Sunil Tripathi, Pt Neeraj, Arvind Menon, Ashutosh Rana, Rajpal Yadav, Sanjay Pathak, Alok Chaturvedi, Neeraj Dixit, Pradyuman Singh, Lodhi Narayan Tripathi, Lakhan Ghanghoria, Nandani Maravi, Nanhelal Dhurve and other prominent personalities were also present on the occasion.
