Traders should follow safety norms: NVCC

NAG Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC), apex body of traders having 13 lakh members in Vidarbha region, recently conducted a Zoom meeting of all presidents and secretaries of various traders body affiliated to it. Ashwin Mehadia, President of NVCC in his address informed the members about the discussions held during meeting with Tukaram Munde, NMC Commissioner. Mehadia said, “The Municipal Commissioner has warned that norms like wearing mask, social distancing are not being followed by traders and even customers in city market. If the law and order is not followed, the authorities will be forced to close the market again.”
 
He urged the traders to follow the norms, while doing business. “Nagpur will be out of Red Zone category from May 22. Traders excluding those in contaminated zones can do business. But we have to take precautions follow the norms laid down by the local authorities,” Mehadia said. Representatives present in the meeting insisted that it was necessary to start business activities. All traders are under financial crises due to the lockdown. Starting of commercial activities is the need of the hour. All agreed to follow the rules requisite to stop the spread of pandemic of coronavirus. Mehadia and Ramavtar Totla, Secretary suggested traders that according to the guidelines of Union and State Governments they can start their business. Traders should wear mask .
