BKS raises farmers’ issues before MP Rakesh Singh

Members pressing demand to open more procurement centres for Chickpea purchase and also to start procurement of Urad and Moong of summer season 
 
A delegation of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh Mahakoshal Unit (BKS) met former Bharatiya Janata Party State President and Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh and apprised him about ongoing problems to farmers in procurement of Chickpea and also demanded that government should procure Moong and Urad. Members pressing demand to open more procurement centres for Chickpea purchase and also to start procurement of Urad and Moong of summer season. BKS, State President, Vijay Gontia highlighting problems being faced by farmers due to lockdown. He said that for the sowing of Summer Moong and Urad in farms the permission to bring labourers from other districts should be provided.
 
He also demanded to extend the dates of Wheat procurement till May 31. Mainly Mahakoshal Organisation Secretary, Bharat Patel, State Publicity Secretary, Raghvendra Singh Patel, State Secretary, Prahlad Patel, State Executive Body Member, Pukhraj Singh Chandel were present. BKS State Secretary, Prahalad Patel demanded to immediately start the procurement of Moong and Urad by initiating registrations. The BKS Members also demanded to repair canals under MGNREGA. MP Singh was apprised that cleaning and repairing work of the left and right bank Canal should be done prior to the start of rains. So that employment could be generated and problem for migrant labourers and rural caused due to lockdown could be resolved.
