WITH easing of the restriction on movement of people due to pandemic lockdown the civil aviation sector is set to see brighter days as domestic airlines will be starting flight ticket bookings from May 25. According to representatives of Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), Nagpur only two carriers Air India and Indigo will be operating flights from Nagpur as the airlines booking windows are open. The third carrier GoAir will be starting flights from June 1 as per the airlines booking window. One of the leading carriers, Air India has started ticket bookings on the Nagpur-Delhi route.
 
Air India flight AI469 will be departing from Delhi at 6.30 am and arrive at 8.10 am at Nagpur on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Similarly, Air India flight AI469 will depart from Nagpur at 10 am and arrive at 11.50 am at Delhi on Monday, Thursday and Saturday, sources said. Accordingly, Indigo will have two flight on the Nagpur-Mumbai route. The first flight (GE-297) will depart from Nagpur at 11.15 am and arrive at 12.55 at Mumbai. The second Nagpur-Mumbai (GE-6404) flight will depart from 8.40 pm and arrive at 10.10 pm at Mumbai on Monday, Friday and Sunday. Similarly, there are other routes like the Nagpur-Delhi (GE-134) flight which will depart at 1.35 pm and arrive at 3.20 pm on all days except Saturday.
 
The Nagpur-Pune (GE-135) flight will depart at 12.50 pm and arrive at 2.10 pm on all days except Saturday. The Nagpur-Bangaluru (GE-317) flight will depart at 10.30 am and arrive at 12.05 pm on all days except Tuesday. The Nagpur-Kolkatta (GE-403) flight will depart at 10 pm and arrive at 11.45 pm daily. Indigo airlines is also having return flights from all the above destinations. Interested may contact their travel agent or visit the airline portal for further information. The air fares from Nagpur to destinations like Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bangaluru and Kolkatta are available at Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 per ticket. The representatives of TAAI, Nagpur said there is till a lot of confusion among the people regarding the 14-day home quarantine procedure when a person arrives and Government should give clarification on the issue.
