Multi-cuisine Bhandara for migrant labourers organised by former Leader of Opposition and senior BJP leader Gopal Bhargava is a unique in the state. Around 5 to 7 lakh migrant labourers were delighted to get food at special Bhandara at Garhakota bus stand in Rehli. The Bhandara is first of its kind in which labourers are being given variety of dishes, including three kinds of vegetables, chapati, mango pickle, papad, sweet dish like gulab jamum and lauki ka halwa. Besides, Amul milk packets were given for children and ORS packets were distributed for protection from dehydration. Gopal Bhargava took food everyday with migrated labourers to check the food quality.
 
Keeping aside political ups and downs in the State, Gopal Bhargava along with his son Abhishek Bhargava, under the direction of BJP National President J P Nadda started service to needy persons during the lockdown and organised a grand Bhandara for providing food to migrant labourers passing through Rehli Assembly constituency.
 
Gopal Bhargava, while talking to ‘The Hitavada’ said “Pointing out that lakhs of migrant labourers who were stranded in different states during the lockdown were returning to their native placed through trucks and other means passing through Rehli. Bhargava informed that majority of the labourers passing through Rehli belong to Mumbai, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. Bhandara witnessed gathering of around 1-1.5 lakh migrated labourers in first 6-7 days when Central Government had allowed the transportation of migrant labourers.
