According to information, after 60 days, PRS service was resumed from Friday in view of late evening decision taken by the Railway Board. In view of directives, reservation tickets are now available from PRS counters while sale of general ticket remains to start till further notification from Railways. Passengers can obtain journey tickets of 100 trains scheduled to get started from June 1.

Earlier IRCTC was assigned with sole responsibility for sale of ticket online. But with resumption of PRS services, people can take reservation in special trains that would start from June 1. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jabalpur, Basant Kumar Sharma, when contacted, said that the PRS counter has started from Friday. The PRS staffers have been given mandatory instruction to deal with passengers. Cops will ensure optimal social distancing at all counters under Jabalpur division. He said at present tickets are being issued for only special trains that would be operational from June 1. Resumption of UTS counter is awaited at present.
