More than 30,000 migrants have got employment under MNREGA : Collector

Collector Bharat Yadav informed that, more than 30,000 migrated labourers who returned from different districts and states have been given employment under MNREGA projects while registration of more labourers has been started under Sambal Yojana for providing them employment and benefits under several government schemes.He informed that, the locust attack has been reported in Hoshangabad and administration is all set to protect Urad and Moong crops at around 30,000 hectares area in Shahpura, Bargi and Patan.Collector informed that procurement of around 4.6 lakh metric ton wheat from around 35,000 farmers has been completed.
 
Around 100 procurement centres were closed and wheat procurement will be carried out till May 26. Besides this, procurement of 426 metric ton chick pea crops was carried out by 760 farmers which will be continued till June 10. Collector Bharat Yadav has extended Eid-ul-Fitr festival greetings to the Muslim brethen and appealed to celebrate the festival at their homes.
 
He ensured strict implementation of curfew from 7 pm to 7 am to avoid further spread of infectious disease in the district.He informed that air transport will be started from May 25 and necessary preparations have been made to ensure medical screening of passengers. Persons returning from other countries and states will be kept into 14-days quarantine while persons found with COVID-19 symptoms will be sent into institutional quarantine for their treatment. Interested persons may stay at identified hotels for quarantine at their own expenditure.
