Collector, SP extend Eid-ul-Fitr greetings

Members of Muslim community celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr marking conclusion of month-long fasting of Ramadan month by keeping Roza with devotional fervour, offering Namaj and rituals maintaining social distancing and following regulations of lockdown, on Monday. Following lockdown the members of Muslim community offered Nafil Namaz at their houses.
 
Mufti-E-Azam Madhya Pradesh, Hazrath Maulana Mohammed Hamid Ahmed Siddique greeted citizens on Eid and also appealed members of the community to stay home, stay safe and to offer Namaz of Eid in their houses. He said only five to seven Namazis could offer Namaz in mosques and Idgaha. Streets of Muslim-dominated areas wore deserted look due to lockdown being observed as preventive measures to cut spread of pandemic coronavirus.
 
The traditions of helping needy and poor people, greeting children by giving them Eidi and also sharing sweet ‘Sewaii’ dishes on Eid remained as per tradition but within limits of social distancing and lockdown regulations. Mostly families offered rituals in houses and with offering Namaz and rituals break month-long fasting Roza of Ramadan. Collector Bharat Yadav, Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna and other administrative officials visited Idgaha Ranitaal and extended greetings of Eid.
