Mercury surges as Nautapa starts showering heat in city

On day two of Nautapa, the temperature surged to 44 degree Celsius with heat waves with high velocity winds in the city. The warning of heat waves continued on Tuesday amidst warning that it would continue to coming four to five days in the region. Local weather observatory observed the impact of heat waves and heat started around 10 am with temperature recorded 42 degree Celsius and by 11.30 am, the temperature surged to 44 degree Celsius in the city.
 
In the afternoon, clouds have put control over rise in temperature. However, the Weather Department has issued warning about prevailing heat wave which may continue for next three to four days. Due to western disturbance for now the high temperature with heat waves would continue to prevail in the region. Following high temperatures amidst the ongoing lockdown, the city roads wore deserted looks especially during peak day hours. Citizens remained lockdown in their houses.
 
The minimum temperature recorded in the afternoon was 39 degree Celsius which was about 3 degree higher than normal. According to medical experts, people should remain safe and stay home to avoid any health problem due to heat wave.
