JMC cracked whip against shop owner found in violation of advisory issued by State Government pertaining to mandatory use of face mask while dealing with customers. On Thursday, a team of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) headed by Deputy Commissioner Vedprakash Chaudhary imposed penalty on 17 shop owners found without preventive mask.
 
The move to penalise shop owner has been started owing to directives issued by Jabalpur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ashish Kumar. According to information obtained from deputy commissioner Vedprakash Chaudhary, in view of directives issued to ensure that shop owner wear the mandatory facemask while dealing with customer in their respective shops. On Thursday during inspection carried out many shop operational in Dada Baburao Paranjpey ward were found selling goods to people without wearing the facemask.
 
Taking serious note of the violation of the directives shop owner were imposed with spot fine of Rs 100 and were instructed to ensure to use the preventive facemask while dealing with customers. On Thursday 17 shop owner were imposed upon with spot fine of Rs 100 as sum of Rs 1,700 recovered from shop owners. Jabalpur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ashish Kumar has made appeal to denizens to ensure to use facemask as per advisory issued by government to contain any further spread of COVID-19. Also that people chewing gutka and others eatables spitting at public places would be dealt with stringent action.
