Schools, colleges, educational, training, coaching institutions will be opened after consultations with States and UTs No restriction on inter-State, intra-State movement of people, goods; no separate permission required for such travels
 
 
UNION Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Saturday issued new guidelines for phased re-opening of “all activities outside containment zones for the next one month beginning June 1”. “The guidelines will come into effect from June 1, 2020 and will be effective till June 30, 2020. The current phase of re-opening, Unlock 1, will have an economic focus,” MHA said in a release. The countrywide lockdown in containment zones has been extended till June 30, while hospitality services, hotels and shopping malls will be allowed to open from June 8, the Union Home Ministry said on Saturday.
 
No restriction on inter-State, intra-State movement of people, goods; no separate permission required for such travels, the Home Ministry said. Termed ‘Unlock 1’, the Centre on Saturday issued fresh guidelines relaxing the nationwide lockdown, the fourth phase of which ends on May 31. It said the lockdown, the fourth phase of which ends on Sunday, will remain in force in containment zones till June 30. Religious places of worship for public, hotels, restaurants, shopping malls and other hospitality services will be opened from June 8, the guidelines stated.
 
The decision to restart international air travel, metro trains, cinema halls, gyms, political gatherings will be done after assessing the situation, it said. Schools, colleges, educational, training, coaching institutions will be opened after consultations with States and Union Territories, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) guildelines said. It added that States and UTs can hold consultations with parents and other stakeholders on reopening of academic institutions from July. Night curfew timing revised; now movement of individuals is prohibited between 9 pm and 5 am across country.
 
Decision on restarting international air travel, Metro trains, cinema halls, gym, political gathering will be taken after assessing situation, said MHA. Lockdown will continue to remain in force till June 30 in containment zones that will be demarcated by district authorities. States, UTs to identify buffer zones outside containment zones, where new cases are more likely to occur, the MHA said. Within buffer zones, restrictions as considered necessary may be put in place by district authorities.
