Dr Samarth raises Rs 2 lakh by pedalling 1301 kms

DR AMIT Samarth, one of the most accomplished ultracyclists of India, added another feather to his cap when he completed 48 hours of non-stop indoor cycling. In the process he virtually pedalled around 1301 kms on Monday. The attempt was made with a view to generate funds to fight against coronavirus. Dr Samarth raised Rs two lakh. He lauded the efforts put in by Maharashtra Police force and Nagpur Municipal Corporation who are at the forefront in fighting the deadly virus.
 
In the first 24 hours, he covered 701 kms. In the next 24 hours, he covered 600 km. The entire event was telecast live on Facebook. Dr Samarth used his home based state of art indoor cycling trainer. Cycling trainer and virtual cycling training App simulated exactly road-like conditions in indoor environment. Dr Samarth thanked his family and well-wishers for successfully completing the task. He was supported by ProHealth Foundation, Miles N Milers, Endurance Sports Academy and others.
