Chief Minister addresses over 10 lakh power consumers through video conference 
 
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the Government is committed to provide electricity at concessional rates to poor and the consumers of low income group. The Government is giving a major relief to the power consumers in this period of corona crisis. A benefit of Rs 623 crore is being given to about 95 lakh power consumers of the State.
 
The Chief Minister Chouhan not only addressed more than 10 lakh domestic, agriculture and power consumers of industrial sector through web linking but also interacted with some consumers through video conferencing.
 
The Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Sanjay Dubey and Secretary Akash Tripathi were present on the occasion. Pay just Rs 50 against a bill of Rs 100: The Chief Minister Chouhan said that such consumers of March 2020, the beneficiaries of Sambal Yojana, who have received bills up to Rs 100 in the month of April are required to pay just Rs 50 per month in the next three months against bill up to Rs 100. Under this arrangement, about 30.68 lakh consumers will be benefited with about Rs 46 crore. Chief Minister Chouhan interacted through VC with domestic consumers. They all expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for providing relief in the power bills.
