Principal Secretary Prateek Hajela reviews Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department 
 
Wide scale publicity should be conducted to provide benefits of schemes to Divyangs. Principal Secretary Prateek Hajela gave instructions to officials concerned, while reviewing departmental schemes of Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Department. He reviewed in detail the educational facilities, training, scholarships etc given under the empowerment of disabled people.
 
The Principal Secretary directed that micro review of all facilities being provided to all senior citizens by the department should be done. An innovative action plan should be prepared to provide benefits to the senior citizens.
 
He further instructed that information pertaining to the steps taken to resolve the problems of senior citizens and need for reforms should be collected. Keeping in view COVID-19 situation, information was given as regard to the protection of the disabled and senior citizens, the beneficiaries of the schemes and to give facilities to them. Commissioner Renu Tiwari has informed that there is need for more publicity for Kalyani Vivah Yojana. In the meeting, directives were given for re-examination and simplification of various schemes of the department. Apart from this, decision was taken to contemplate on making amendment in process to provide maximum benefits to the beneficiaries of the departmental schemes. 
 
‘Apprise youth about ill-effects of addiction’

Principal Secretary Prateek Hajela instructed to conduct a campaign to acquaint youth with the ill-effects of addiction on International Anti Drug Day, June 26. He told the officers of the districts that various awareness activities related to de-addiction should be conducted following the social distancing norm. Enlighten especially youth with the ill effects of addiction and spread awareness in society.
