Total 89 fresh coronavirus positive cases were detected across State on Friday. Death of a coronavirus patient from Janjgir district was also reported from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur. The deceased was suffering from Liver Abscess Rupture. However, 156 patients were discharged after successful recovery. As of now, total active cases are 47 with 13 deaths.

 

As per information received from officials of Health Department, out of 89 new positive cases, maximum of 39 patients are from Jashpur, 14 each in Durg and Raipur, 5 each in Raigarh and Rajnandgaon, 4 each in Balodabazar and Balrampur, 3 in Kabirdham and 1 in Surguja. Samples of 1,44,828 suspected patients were collected all over State and reports confirmed 2,525 positive cases.

 

1,885 patients were discharged after treatment while 647 patients are undergoing treatment.

Out of 156 discharged patients 15 are from Durg, 11 Rajnandgaon, 1 Balod, 14 Raipur, 28 Balodabazar, 13 of Korba, 27 Janjgir-Champa, 17 Surguja, 2 Koriya, 22 Balrampur, 5 Jashpur and 1 of Kanker.

 

While out of total 2545 patients 123 were from Durg, 218 from Rajnandgaon, 44 of Balod, 46 of Bemetara, 95 Kabirdham, 259 of Raipur, 8 Dhamtari, 229 of Balodabazar, 82 Mahasamund, 29 Gariaband, 172 Bilaspur, 103 Raigarh, 306 Korba, 221 Janjgir-Campa, 121 Mungeli, 3 Gourela Pendra Marwahi, 50 Surguja, 56 Koriya, 24 Surajpur, 118 Balrampur, 164 Jashpur 7 Jagdalpur, 3 Kondagaon, 3 Dantewada, 5 Sukma, 45 Kanker, 9 Narainpur, 1 Bijapur and 1 of other state.

 

Total active cases are 647 and the patients are 42 from Durg, 117 from Rajnandgaon, 2 of Balod,5 of Bemetara, 9 Kabirdham, 94 of Raipur, 29 of Balodabazar, 7 Mahasamund, 9 Gariaband, 29 Raigarh, 59 Korba, 72 Janjgir-Campa, 17 Mungeli, 8 Surguja, 5 Koriya, 6 Surajpur,24 Balrampur, 77 Jashpur 2 Jagdalpur,1 Kondagaon, 1 Dantewada, 5 Sukma, 19 Kanker, 7 Narainpur and 1 in Bijapur.

 

As per report 1885 patients were discharged after successful treatment, out of which 78 patients were from Durg, 99 from Rajnandgaon, 42 of Balod, 41 of Bemetara, 86 Kabirdham, 164 of Raipur, 7 Dhamtari, 200 of Balodabazar,74 Mahasamund, 20 Gariaband, 170 Bilaspur, 73 Raigarh, 247 Korba, 148 Janjgir-Campa, 104 Mungeli, 3 Gourela Pendra Marwahi, 42 Surguja, 51 Koriya, 18 Surajpur, 94 Balrampur, 87 Jashpur, 4 Jagdalpur, 2 Kondagaon, 2 Dantewada, 26 Kanker, 2 Narainpur and 1 of other state.

 

Director of AIIMS Raipur Dr Nitin M Nagarkar informed that a 38 years male patient from Champa was admitted on 20 June and was diagnosed with ruptured liver abscess with septic shock, Kidney involvement with abdominal pain with deranged liver function and COVID-19 positive. Despite operative management and all resuscitative and best efforts by expert doctors, his condition deteriorated further and unfortunately he succumbed to his illness on Friday afternoon. With this 13 deaths were recorded in state.
