Regular passenger trains cancelled till August 12

IN ORDER to prevent further spread of COVID-19 pandemic, Railways has decided to extend suspension of regular passenger trains till August 12. Under this, operation of all regular scheduled trains, mail express, passenger and sub urban trains will remain suspended till August 12. People who have booked their tickets during this period will be entitled full refund after cancellation of tickets. Services of Rajdhani Special and Express trains started from May 12 to June 1 will be continued.
 
Railways has assigned around 450 loco pilots for 278 pairs of trains, including 150 Shramik Express and Empty, 13 parcel trains, 50 special trains and 65 goods trains during COVID-19. Officials have ensured that crew stay remains lowest in running room.
 
Online refresher courses were successfully conducted at Bhopal Railway division for training of loco pilots, supervisors and assistant loco pilots. WAG-12 B locomotive training was also conducted online. In this online training, Chief Loco Inspector, TLC and other crew members had participated. Besides, medical test was held for 248 loco pilot inspectors and assistant loco pilots. Foot operated wash basin and sanitiser dispenser were placed in lobbies and office of Bhopal division. Thermal screening was also made available for screening temperature of employees.
