In connection with high-profile murder of NSUI’s office-bearer at Mandla in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, two assailants were arrested from Raipur. “Raipur Police on Saturday arrested two persons allegedly involved in killing of Sonu Pachoria, NSUI’s Mandal district general secretary.
 
The arrested were identified as Mayur Yadav and Piyush Maravi, both natives of Madhya Pradesh,” said a senior police officer here. Notably, on intervening night of June 26 and June 27, four unidentified assailants shot dead Sonu Pachoria following which a complaint was registered with Mandla’s Kotwali police station under Sections 307 (attempt to murder), 302 (punishment for murder) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
 
The officer further informed that on the directives of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shaikh Arif Husen, all the police stations have launched a search for suspicious persons. Meanwhile, Gudhiyari police and cyber cell received a tip-off about two persons from Mandla looking out for room after which they were rounded-up. “During interrogation, the duo revealed of being indulged in killing of Sonu Pachoria and reached here to evade their arrest. Mandla police has been informed about the development and soon they will be reaching here to arrest the duo,” said the officer.
