Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that officers should make their mindset that he will not let rights of poor to be snatched away. Collectors and DFOs should listen carefully, any tribal who was dwelling on land on or before December 31, 2005 should get pattas mandatorily. No eligible tribal should be deprived of Patta. In the event of slightest negligence, strict action will be taken.

Chouhan said that rejection in large number of forest rights claims of 3,58,339 tribal reflects that officers have not taken task seriously. Tribal community is such a section of the society, which is not able to present its say in a right manner, in such a case it is absolutely improper to ask for evidence for pattas from them and to reject their claims on this basis. All Collectors and DFOs are required to re-examine all the cases and submit report within a week. It is must to give patta to tribals.
