A street vendor climbed on tall telephone tower after his handcart got seized by BMC anti-encroachment team on Thursday. Subsequent to which BMC officials, Corporator Shabista Zaki and police officials rushed to the spot and he was rescued.
 
BMC anti-encroachment squad in charge Mohammed Samer said that handcart was returned to the vendor and he was also counseled not to do such dangerous act out of impulse. Corporator Shabista Zaki has urged officials not to be aggressive with street vendors as they are already under stress due to financial crunch during Covid-19 pandemic.
