Terming that the offer to tender resignation by Health, Family Welfare, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister T S Singhdeo, is an alarm for the ruling Congress Government, said National Vice-President of the Bharatiya Janata Party Dr Raman Singh. By issuing a communiqué, Dr Singh said by offering to resign, the Health Minister has established that the opposition and criticism by the BJP on the issues was correct. Dr Singh said that that the offer to quit on the issue of difference in the payment of MSP amount that it has to be paid ahead of forthcoming Khariff crop, by a Minister, who holds the status of ‘Second in Command’, is the first and final nail in the casket of political character of the ruling Congress Government. He said the ruling Congress government neither did justice with farmers nor it fulfilled the promises it made. Dr Singh said that the unemployment youths in the State have become so much frustrated by the state government that they are taking extreme steps like suicide which is shameful for the ruling Congress Government.

When an unemployed youth tried to self-immolate outside the official residence of the Chief Minister on Monday, the State Government is trying to establish that he is mentally unstable. Dr Singh said that the incident of Hardeo Sinha depicts how much resentment is there among the youths against the state government. Sinha neither had money nor any food-grains in his house for survival, which aggravated him to take such drastic step.

The ruling Congress Government had promised unemployment allowance, employment for educated unemployed youths but had deceived them, he added. Similarly, the farmers were also deceived by the State Government and the voice raised by the Health, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister against the injustice is worth appreciable. The ruling Congress Government had promised complete liquor prohibition and got the support of women across the state, who’re are worst victims of alcoholism, but the State Government had again deceived them. Instead of prohibiting liquor sales it has started home delivery of liquor. Apart from selling liquor at much higher prices, 30 percent of the total liquor consumption in the State is illicit liquor.

Dr Singh said that the ruling Congress Government had promised loan waiver for women self-help groups but no step has been taken in this direction nor it is there in the future agenda. When the state is under the grip of COVID-19 pandemic, the state government didn’t take precautionary measures seriously and the Chief Minister was busy writing letters challenging the federal system.

Cong criticises BJP for politicising statement of Minister Singhdeo Congress party has criticised Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for politicising the statement of Health Minister T S Singhdeo on Rajiv Gandhi NYAY Yojana. It may be mentioned that T S Singhdeo said, “If the second installment of Rajiv Gandhi NYAY Yojana is not given by the State Government to the farmers of the state in the month of August, he would tender resignation as minister from the cabinet. CPCC Spokesman Dhananjay Singh Thakur claimed that T S Signhdeo’s statement is proof of the commitment of the Congress leaders to the promises made to the people. Thakur alleged that BJP leaders are trying to misquote the statement of T S Singhdeo and trying to show a division in the Congress Government. The CPCC Spokesman said that BJP has become pointless after the Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel Government has fulfilled almost all promises made in the 2018 assembly elections. The BJP is doing politics by lying in the name of farmers and labourers, he added. The BJP leaders should learn from T S Singhdeo, who is committed towards the people of the state. The BJP had cheated the people of the state during its rule in the last 15 years, he added.
