PNB launches CSR campaign to fight COVID-19 pandemic

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has launched an initiative to combat the spread of COVID-19, complementing the Government of India’s extensive efforts to contain challenges and risks posed by the growing pandemic. Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Science and Technology, and Earth Sciences, Dr Harsh Vardhan inaugurated the campaign at Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi.
 
The initiative is launched as PNB’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign and it will entail providing COVID-19 related prevention materials like masks, sanitisers, etc across India in 662 districts. Dr Harsh Vardhan said, “This is a great initiative taken by PNB to distribute the COVID-19 precautionary kits nationwide. CH SS Malikarjuna Rao, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, said, that, “PNB is committed to play its role in this difficult time”.
 
In addition to the above Zonal Office Bhopal & Circle Office Bhopal distributed the mask & sanitiser to Baba Nanak Sewaprerna Samiti and Sewa Bharti Ananddham old age home under the leadership of R K Mehta (Dy Zonal Manager), A K Tiwari (Dy Zonal Manager) & S K Sharma (AGM). Mask and sanitiser distribution was carried out across 52 districts headquarter of Bhopal, Sagar, Ujjain, Indore, Gwalior & Jabalpur.
