Barely hours after ex-BJP leader and ex-minister Kanhaiyalal Agrawal joined Congress, Congress MLA from Mandhata Assembly seat, Narayan Patel joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in State capital on Thursday. In the programme organised at BJP headquarters, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP State President Sharma gave party membership to Narayan Patel and welcomed him into the BJP family. After joining the BJP, Narayan Patel told that Congress regularly ignored his constituency and for the development of his constituency, he decided to resign from Congress party to join BJP.

Taking potshots on Congress, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan told that now Congress party has got decimated to Congress twitter party. Congress witnessed tenure of despair and hopelessness. In a veiled attack on ex-CM Kamal Nath, he said that in State Congress, one leader occupies all top positions vis CM, State President and Leader of Opposition and in Delhi, only one family runs Congress. He claimed that during Congress government tenure, elected representatives were gasping for breath as development works were in backburner.

On the contrary, BJP under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi is moving ahead by the mantra of development. He asserted that Narayan Patel joined BJP for the development of his constituency. BJP State President Sharma said that elected representatives are getting disillusioned from Congress. The fifteen-month rule of Kamal Nath government put State into despair. Moreover, Kamal Nath government even stopped all development works which were started during previous BJP government. During Congress regime, development works were ignored and this is the prime reason that elected representatives got disillusioned from Congress. Narayan Patel claimed that he joined BJP without any self-interest.
