THE coronavirus spike once again completed its triple century in a single day in Chhattisgarh after 371 people were reported positive for the pandemic on Thursday, taking overall tally to 6,370. Total five deaths reported including 4 male and one female. Four deaths were reported from AIIMS and one from BRAMH. The State Capital continued its triple figure tally of COVID-19 patients with 205 patients getting detected on Thursday. Bhatagaon area which has been declared containment zone is being monitored by the police and they are keeping an eye over the movement of public through drone. Strict orders have been given to public to stay in door.
 
“At present a total of 1,949 COVID-19 patients are under treatment in various hospitals, while 34 patients have lost battle for life so far including a BSF trooper of Bhilai. As many as 4,387 patients have returned home after registering triumph against the pandemic,” confirmed the Health Department sources. 157 were discharged on Thursday. Among the fresh 371 cases, 205 are from Raipur, 34 Kabirdham, 21 Kanker, 23 Rajnandgaon, 16 Mungeli, 12 Janjgeer-Champa, 10 Bastar, 10 Surguja, 8 Bilaspur, 6 Durg, 4 Narayanpur, 4 Gariaband, 3 Mahasamund,3 Korba, 3 Koriya, 2 Jashpur, 1 each in Balod, Surajpur, Dhamtari, Balodabazaar, Kondagaon, Dantewada and Bijapur.
 
It may be mentioned that the rapid increase in the number of cases of Novel Coronavirus infection have led to re-enforcement of lockdown in various districts of Chhattisgarh. Six districts including Durg, Bilaspur and Dantewada have re-imposed the locked down since Thursday. In Surguja, Raigarh, Sarangarh and Balodabazar besides Raipur where lockdown has been re-imposed only essential services have been made available. A 28-year old BSF trooper from Bhilai, suffering from Pneumonia and Respiratory Distress was admitted in Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital earlier. He was detected corona positive and passed away on Thursday.
 
Apart from this three male patients of age 67, 61 and 54 and a 52 years old female patients passed away in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). With this total number of fatality tally reached 34 in State. Out of 1,547 discharged patients 20 are of Durg, 40, Rajnandgaon, 1 Balod,4 Bemetara, 18 Raipur, 2 Dhamtari, 2 Balodabazar, 3 Gariaband, 26 Bilaspur, 2 Raigarh, 6 Korba, 2 Janjgir-Champa, 8 Kanker, 18 Narayanpur and 5 Bijapur. Out of total 6,370 patients, 366 are from Durg, 478 Rajnandgaon, 80 Balod, 112 Bemetara, 170 Kabirdham, 1607 Raipur, 31 Dhamtari, 312 Balodabazar, 109 Mahasamund, 80 Gariaband, 480 Bilaspur, 175 Raigarh, 367 Korba, 390 Janjgir-Champa, 163 Mungeli, 14 Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi, 192 Surguja, 96 Koriya, 34 Surajpur, 173 Balrampur, 214 Jashpur, 118 Bastar, 45 Kondagaon, 96 Dantewada, 68 Sukma, 184 Kanker, 154 Narayanpur, 55 Bijapur and 7 of other state. Total active cases are 1,949 and the patients are 124 in Durg, 42 Rajnandgaon, 15 Balod, 16 Bemetara, 58 Kabirdham, 878 Raipur, 7 Dhamtari, 14 Balodabazar, 17 Mahasamund, 22 Gariaband, 142 Bilaspur, 21 Raigarh, 26 Korba, 83 Janjgir-Champa, 40 Mungeli, 5 Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi, 89 Surguja, 21 Koriya, 3 Surajpur, 8 Balrampur, 22 Jashpur, 43 Bastar, 29 Kondagaon,27 Dantewada, 38 Sukma, 81 Kanker, 35 Narayanpur, 40 Bijapur and 3 from other states.
 
As per report total of 4,387 patients were discharged after successful treatment, out of which 237 patients were from Durg, 433 Rajnandgaon, 65 Balod, 96 Bemetara, 112 Kabirdham, 715 of Raipur, 23 Dhamtari, 298 of Balodabazar,91 Mahasamund, 58 Gariaband, 336 Bilaspur, 152 Raigarh, 341 Korba, 305 Janjgir-Champa, 123 Mungeli, 9 Gourela-Pendra-Marwahi, 102 Surguja, 75 Koriya, 31 Surajpur, 165 Balrampur, 192 Jashpur, 74 Jagdalpur, 16 Kondagaon, 69 Dantewada,30 Sukma, 103 Kanker, 119 Narayanpur,15 Bijapur and 2 from other states.
