Cops’ action averts tragedy as gas-laden truck overturns

A capsule truck loaded with gas overturned in village Purva near Sharda Mandir Tiraha on Maneri road under the jurisdiction of Barela police station in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Under the direction of Superintendent of Police, Siddharth Bahuguna, senior officers including Additional SP, Dr Sanjeev Uike, DSP (Rural), Apoorva Kiledar, CSP, Kotwali, Deepak Mishra, SHO of Lordganj police station, Madhur Pateria, SHO, Adhartal, Shailesh Mishra, SHO, Gora Bazar, Sahdev Sahu, SHO, Barela, Sushil Chouhan along with Dial 100 vehicles, 108 Ambulance and Fire Brigade teams reached the spot and started rescue operations. In further investigation, police learnt that an oil capsule laden truck (NL 01 Q 7556) loaded with around 17 tonnes gas from HPCL plant in Guna for delivery at Maneri and Shahpura gas plants overturned.
 
DSP (Traffic), Mayank Singh Chouhan and Madhukar Khowkikar and their team managed to up turn the gas capsule and evaded any untoward incident. Acting on the complaint of HPCL Plant, Maneri, Manager, Rishi Kumar (40), resident of Katanga in Gorakhpur, Barela police have registered a case under Section 279 of the IPC against accused truck driver named Pappi Singh Yadav (28), resident of Aaron in Guna district while further investigations are underway.
