Aniket tops distt in Science, Mayawati in Commerce and Pragya takes the top slot in Humanties

Bringing laurels to Jabalpur district, four students secured positions in the State-level top ten merit list in the Class XII Board Examination 2020 conducted by Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE). The MPBSE announced the much awaited result of Class XII on Monday at 3 pm. Maintaining their dominance, girls (70.73 % pass percentage) once again outshone boy students (61.96 %) in Jabalpur district. The overall passing percentage of Jabalpur district remained at 66.59 per cent including 68.57 in government schools and 65.37 per cent in private ones. The overall result has improved by 3 per cent in comparison to last year. Out of 18,633 students who appeared in the examination, 7,129 scored first division, 4, 831 second division and 2,914 obtained supplementary marks.
 
Overall passing percentage of Humanities group remained at 58.95 % including boys (56.73 %) and girls (60.34 %), Science (70.74 %) including boys (65.83 %) and girls (75.21 %), Commerce (66.86 pc) including boys (60.04 pc) and girls (74.42 pc), Agriculture (80.50 pc) including boys (79.51 pc) and girls (82.85 pc) and Home Science group (53.33 pc) obtained by girl students. The four students who made the district proud included Ashish Kushwaha from Government Pandit Lajja Shankar Jha School of Excellence (487) who bagged the fourth position in the State top ten merit list of Science-Maths Group. Similarly, Priyanka Patel from St.
 
Norbert’s Girls’ HS Secondary School, Napier Town (475) and Varsha Mangtani from Spring Day HS School, Anand Nagar (470) who secured fifth and tenth positions, respectively in Commerce Group. Alisha Bahna from Salem English Medium School, Khitoula scored the sixth rank in the State-level merit list in Science-Biology group with 480 marks. In district-level top ten merit list, Aniket Mishra (471) from Nachiketa HS School, Napier Town topped in Science (Maths-Bio) Group. Aniket was followed by Chetna Tripathi (467) from St Norberts Girls’ HS School, Napier Town and Naved Ansari (467) from Government Pt. Lajja Shankar Jha Model HS Excellence School on second and Leena Pandey (466) from Salem English Medium School, Khitola on third position respectively.
 
Similarly, Mayawati Ahirwar (464) from Shahid Vikram HS School, Shankar Nagar topped Commerce Group while Pratiksha Patel (463) from Balak Mandir, Rampur secured second position, respectively. Pragya Lodhi (461) from Government Girls HS School, Barela topped the district in Humanities Group while Smriti Pandey (456) from Jain Girls HS School Jawaharganj secured the second position.Aniket Jain (430) from Rachna Memorial HS School Darshani Sihora and Nikhat Parveen (421) from Government HS School, Adhartal topped Agriculture and Fine Arts Groups respectively.
