Scorching heat is making life inconvenient in State capital and many other parts of the State as well. As rains have become the thing of past in most of the regions, mercury level is soaring. It’s almost difficult to remain without fan and air conditioners at home and offices.

For Bhopal, it was almost two weeks back when a spell of rains occurred. Otherwise, it is witnessing dry weather conditions. During afternoon, heat is at its peak. The things have been worrisome for people as rainfall is not happening. With only a few days left for month to end, it seems unlikely that rains will revive in a day or two. In want of rainfall activities, Bhopal is battling with increasing heat and humidity.

Its maximum temperature reached till 33.3 degrees Celsius, 4 degrees above normal. In last twenty-four hours, rainfall occurred only in a few pockets of State including Bajna (9 cm), Rajnagar (6 cm), Kasrawad (4 cm), Tarana, Tamia (3 cm each), Malthon, Sagar, Khandwa, Begumganj (2 cm each) respectively. Weather Department has issued warning of rainfall and thunder activities in some places of Hoshangabad, Shahdol and Jabalpur divisions and districts including Dhar, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur etc.
