Police continue to crack whip on lockdown violators in State capital. On Tuesday, police registered 71 cases against lockdown violators. In these cases, as many as 80 people were arrested and around 25 vehicles including two-wheelers and four-wheelers were confiscated. As far as action during last twenty four hours is concerned then as many as 123 cases were filed.
 
Since July 25 ie first day of ten-day lockdown till Tuesday, total 468 cases under section 188 have been registered. The first day of lockdown which came on March 22 till date, total 6,966 cases of lockdown violation have been registered. On Tuesday, police filed cases against people who were roaming unnecessary, moving without mask, moving on cars and bikes without any pressing reason etc tea shop owners, auto shop owners, shops, vegetable sellers also faced the heat of action.
 
Police remains deployed on all important tri sections, squares and roads of city and is leaving no stone unturned that ten-day lockdown imposed after corona cases increased sharply should be implemented in strictest manner. Notwithstanding knowing about intense police checking, there are people who try to hit the roads unnecessarily or say without any kind of emergency.
