Drivers and staff of the Bhopal City Link Limited (BCLL) buses including cleaners staged protest at Nadra Bus stand over salary issues. The driver and staffers shunned their work and gathered at Nadra Bus stand depot seeking disbursement of their salaries. The drivers’ association had also given memorandum to the district administration , Smart City and BMC officials to consider their request seeking salaries of April, May and June.
 
They also alleged that for June their salaries are not been paid properly. The staffers were working even during the lockdown to ensure the migrant labourers and stranded students are ferried to their respective stoppages to get buses or trains to leave for their native state.
 
They also facilitated in transport of essential services. These buses are even deployed to send the persons to quarantine centres as well as engaged in other transportation work. The staffers decried that they are facing lots of hardships. BCLL official Sanjay Soni said that they were given March salary and are holding meetings to ensure that the staff get their salary of pending months. The buses are being run but not for income purpose and department is undergoing revenue loss and that is why salary disbursement got delayed, he added.
