State Govt to withdraw Finance Deptt’s order to suspend annual increment

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has announced that the State Government would withdraw Finance Department’s order to suspend annual salary increment of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Baghel held a meeting with the office-bearers of Chhattisgarh Karmachari Adhikari Federation (CKAF) at Chief Minister’s House on Thursday evening. Additional Chief Secretary of Finance Department Amitabh Jain was also present in the meeting. Convener of the CKAF Kamal Verma said that the Chief Minister, during the meeting, announced that the State Government would withdraw the Finance Department’s order to suspend the annual salary increment of the Government employees.
 
Now, the Government employees will get benefit of annual salary increment since July as the Finance Department withdraws its previous order to suspend the annual salary increment, said Verma. Chief Minister Baghel assured the office-bearers of the CKAF said that the arrears of salary increment of the government employees from July to December would be paid by the State Government to the employees in the month of January.
 
The Government employees, who will be entitled to get benefit of annual salary increment since January, 2021, will be paid their salary increment as arrears in the month of July, 2021. It may be mentioned that on May 27, the Finance Department had issued an order to suspend the annual salary increment from July 1, 2020 to January 1, 2021. The office-bearers from 21 recognised Government unions and 20 registered unions participated in the meeting. The office-bearers of the CKAF Rajesh Chatterjee, Satish Mishra, R K Richhariya, Vijay Jha, Dr Laxman Bharti, Sanjay Singh, B P Sharma, Pankaj Pandey, Yashwant Verma, Lalit Baghel, Satyendra Dewangan, Ashwani Chelak, Devlal Bharti, P K Namdeo, Horilal Chhediye, Anil Sinha and others were present on the occasion.
