‘Govt’s negligence putting lives of patients in danger’

Alleging that due to prevailing mismanagement in COVID Care Centres, patients are running away from such centres, the Bharatiya Janata Party has stated that fed-up with the mismanagement the patients are approaching people for assistance through various mediums including social media. Bharatiya Janata Party State President Vishnu Deo Sai while expressing concern over the rising cases of COVID-19 infection in State, said despite the COVID-19 pandemic reaching to dangerous proportion in State, no road map has come to fore as to how the State Government is intending to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, which is a matter of more concern.
Sai alleged that due to prevailing mismanagement in COVID Care Centres patients are suffering and news is coming that these patients are running away from these centres. Sai further alleged that due to negligence on the part of the ruling Congress Government in handling COVID-19 pandemic is putting the lives of patients in danger. While the patients are suffering, the Congress is busy in politics. If the State Government doesn’t start reacting fast, the situation in Chhattisgarh will be worse than Delhi or Mumbai. Had the State Government made timely preparations to combat the pandemic, the situation wouldn’t have worsened today. Today the situation is so worse that COVID-19 infected patients are facing massive difficulty in getting admission in hospitals.
On the other hand, the situation in COVID Care Centres is so pathetic that people are not getting food timely and there are no doctors or nurses in such centers to take care of them. On the other hand, due to lack of sufficient testing centres, the reports of such patients are getting delayed resulting into delayed treatment and spread of infection. In many cases, the reports were received after the death of patients, he alleged.
