Himanshu Bokade is probable Vidarbha topper with 92 per cent marks
 
 
Himanshu Lalit Bokade, a student of Kurvey’s New Model High School and Junior College cannot see the world around him but that did not deter him from chasing his dreams as he aced SSC Class 10 examination by scoring 92 per cent marks. With this, Himanshu became the probable second topper in the State and probable topper in Vidarbha in visually handicapped category.
 
Himanshu scored 460 marks (best of five subjects). He bagged 95 marks in Hindi, 95 in English, 95 in Social Science, 91 in Marathi, 85 in Science and 84 in Mathematics. Himanshu, who is visually impaired by birth, believes that his hard work and proper time management helped him to achieve the target. “It is not difficult to score marks in exams, just you need proper planning with efforts,” said Himanshu to ‘The Hitavada’. Himanshu achieved this goal without any coaching classes.
 
He did self-study and when he faced any trouble, his teachers and school friends always helped him. Himanshu’s father Lalit Vitthal Bokade is an auto-rickshaw driver and mother Kalpana Bokade is a home-maker. He also has a younger sister Rani. “My parents never treated me like a special child. They always helped and encouraged me to give my best at every level. They worked hard to fulfill my all demands,” said Himanshu. Himanshu never restricted himself due to his deficiency. He always participated in all types of competitions at school level. Himanshu wants to serve country as an IAS officer after clearing UPSC examination.
